Aaron Esdon, Head Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Instructor at Platinum Training Facility, is a multiple time gold medalist and accomplished black belt, currently training under the guidance of BJJ Globetrotters Black Belt Matt McPeake. Aaron’s passion for Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu is evident through his dedication to learning technique, concepts and details from a variety of black belt instructors across North America. This passion has translated into a love of teaching, passing along the depth of his knowledge to both beginners and seasoned grapplers. Aaron’s teaching style is a combination of hard work and patience, understanding that everyone progresses at their own pace and for different purposes. His commitment to making learning fun while still focusing on setting and accomplishing goal has led to strong bonds with teammates and competitors alike on his Jiu Jitsu journey.
Off the mats, Aaron manages the Crime Analysis Unit at the London Police Service. His 17 years of law enforcement experience has provided him with a unique perspective of self defense, as well as the importance of conflict resolution and the de-escalation of unpredictable situations. It is highly unlikely anyone will find themselves in a dangerous encounter; however, Aaron has learned the value of self-confidence in avoiding potential conflict.
